Mid corporate credit analyst

Within the Corporate Division, the SME Budapest Mid Corporate Area is dedicated to serve the upper mid-market corporations in Hungary by providing a wide range of commercial banking products (i.e. cash management, investment/working capital financing, leasing, factoring, treasury, trade finance, etc.), focusing tailor-made solutions and complex structured finance transactions. The front office team is composed of highly experienced Senior Relationship Managers who manage a portfolio of the corporate clients and represent the key point of contact to them. The work of the Relationship Managers is supported by Supervisor, Credit Analysts, Mid Officers and Product Specialists to provide high quality service to the clientele, facilitating sales activity and the origination of new transactions.

Main task:

The ideal candidate has already gained 2-5 years’ experience in corporate banking; alternatively, candidates with no direct, but applicable experiences (financial advisory, accounting or audit professional services) might also be considered.

Main activities:

• Performing fundamental research and financial analyses of corporate clients: reclassification of historical financial statements, assignment of credit ratings to obligors, assessment of the collateral structure of specific transactions, peer competitors and industrial analyses, evaluation of counterparty credit quality by identifying risks and making recommendations for their mitigation, financials’ projections.
• Participation in customer meetings (in person/online) together with Senior Relationship Managers.
• Contributing to the preparation of credit proposals to be submitted to the decision-making bodies of the Bank.
• Monitoring the Bank's existing credit exposure periodically, performing annual reviews. 

  Required qualifications, skills and competencies:

• University degree in Economics/Finance.
• 2-5 years corporate analysis experience and understanding of banking products (preferred). Alternatively, previous experience in financial advisory, accounting or audit professional services is considered an asset.
• Solid numerical and analytical skills.
• Advanced level English knowledge in writing.
• Ability to work in a team.
